You can get reduced fares on the Capital Area Transit System (also called CATS) if you are an older adult or have a disability. The reduced fare is usually less than half of the standard fare. If you cannot use the fixed-route buses due to a disability, a paratransit service called CATS On Demand is available.

How do I apply?

For information about how to apply for reduced fares, visit the CATS website. You may be able to apply online. To apply for paratransit CATS on Demand, fill out an application form and submit it as directed on the form or call 1-225-346-5557.
