This program provides reduced fares for people with disabilities and free rides for seniors on the Jacksonville Transportation Authority system. You need to get a Reduced Fare or Senior STAR Card in advance.
How do I apply?
To get the Reduced or Senior STAR Card you must have your picture taken and present documentation of a disability, if applicable. Appropriate documentation includes a Social Security award letter or VA letter stating a disability of at least 50%, a letter from a physician, or a Medicare card. You can have your picture taken at the Rosa Parks Transit Hub, JTA Myrtle Campus, or the Armsdale Park and Ride.
