1 min read

This program offers transportation in Jefferson, Shelby, and Walker counties. Subsidized rides are provided for people who are 60 years of age or older, who are eligible for paratransit services in those 3 counties, and who are living in and traveling to or from rural areas in Jefferson County or Shelby County. Other people can use the service as well if there is availability.

Rides must be scheduled in advance, and tickets must be purchased a week before you plan to ride. Tickets can be purchased in person, by phone, or by mail. The vehicles are wheelchair accessible.

How do I apply?

To get service based on age or disability, you can fill out an Application for Determination of Eligibility. To get service based on living in a rural area of Shelby County or Jefferson County, you can fill out a Rural Application. Both applications can be submitted as directed on the forms.
