This program provides a partial property tax reduction for qualifying homeowners. It places a cap (limit) on how much your property taxes can increase year-to-year. It does not exclude increases based on the home’s assessed (taxable) value going up because of improvements to the home. The assessed value is the dollar amount used to decide how much you will have to pay in property taxes.
