- Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) is for people who are 60 or older.
- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is for people who need help with their tax returns, including if you:
- Speak limited English
- Have a disability, or
- Generally make $60,000 or less
Both programs are staffed by volunteers and are free. The VITA and TCE volunteers who prepare the tax returns are trained to IRS standards.
Each year during tax filing season, VITA and TCE locations are set up throughout the country at community venues, such as libraries, malls, banks, community centers, and senior centers.
