The Governor’s Golden Mountaineer Discount Card Program offers you a discount card that can help lower the cost of your prescription medications. The amount of your discount will depend on the type of treatment, the quantity supplied, and whether it’s a branded product or generic medication. In addition to discounts of pharmacy treatments, you can use the card to obtain savings at local places of business such as: fast food restaurants, retail locations and state parks. Businesses that participate in this program will usually have a sticker in their window to show that they accept the discount card. If there is no window decal, you should ask whether they will accept the Governor’s Golden Mountaineer Discount Card.

How do I get the Governor’s Golden Mountaineer Discount Card?

If you live in West Virginia, you should get the discount card in the mail a month after your 60th birthday. However, if you do not receive the card in the mail, you may apply by using the online application or you can contact the program at: (888) 968-4462.
