VPharm – Level 2 provides you prescription drug coverage for maintenance drugs (long-term medical conditions). In addition, the program helps you obtain pharmaceutical products for a rate that is less than private health insurance plans. For example, if you enroll in VPharm, you will pay a $20 monthly premium. In addition, you will get your prescriptions for either a $1 or $2 co-pay, depending on the cost of the drug. For other prescription drugs (non-maintenance drugs), you can get help by paying the state’s Medicaid rate for those prescription drugs.
