This program helps you use special equipment to call someone if you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have trouble speaking. You can make or get calls at any time using a regular telephone or a teletypewriter. A teletypewriter, or TTY, is a machine that lets you type a message to an operator. The operator will read your message to the person you called. An operator can also translate English to Spanish, or Spanish to English.

How do I use the service?

To find out how to use the service, visit the program's website, or call 800-253-0195. If you use a teletypewriter, call 800-253-0191. If you use a videophone with a camera, call 860-899-1097.
