This state program provides an additional cash benefit in addition to what the federal government gives you if you get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or if you have qualifying income and assets. The amount of the supplemental income you get will depend on any other sources of income you may receive and your living arrangements.

Please note: If you enroll in both Medicare and SSI, you will be signed up for the Extra Help program through Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage. This program helps people with limited income and resources pay for their medicines.

To apply for this program, you can print and fill out the application form and mail it to your local office. Please contact your local office with any questions.
