Community Care for Aged/Disabled (CCAD)

This program gives you health care and support services so that you can safely stay in your own home. You can get help from the following services:

  • Case management: A social service professional will work with you and your family to decide which services you will need so that you can stay at home.
  • Homemaking: This includes help with housework, laundry, shopping, and running errands.
  • Personal care: A service professional will help you with your daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meals: You can get home-delivered meals and help you with making meals at home.
  • Adult day programs: You can take part in social activities outside of your home. Adult day programs may also include health care services.
  • Adult family care: If you have a caretaker that you live with, they may get a cash benefit to help you with your daily living needs.
  • Respite care: These are programs and services for your caregivers to give them a break.
  • Personal emergency response system: This service provides you with help if there is an emergency. For example, if you have fallen and cannot get up or you need other medical, fire, or police help.
