This program offers services to help you remain independent if you are blind or have low vision. The program evaluates you to see what types of services may help you. Some of the services may include:

  • Vocational rehabilitation: This service helps you prepare for employment or keep the job you have.
  • Rehabilitation teaching: This service teaches you to safely complete regular daily activities at home, on the job, and in your community. This can include cooking, home repair, and reading and writing in Braille.
  • Orientation and mobility instruction: This service helps you learn to move independently in your home, workplace, and community.
