EyeCare America’s Online Referral Center
EyeCare America offers certain eye care services for free through a network of volunteer ophthalmologists. There are 2 programs:
- Seniors Program: For people who are over 65 years of age. You can receive a no cost eye exam and some follow up care for conditional that are diagnosed during the exam.
- Glaucoma Programs: For people who are at risk of glaucoma because of their age, race, or family history.
Volunteer ophthalmologists (eye doctors) accept Medicare and other insurance as payment for the services they offer. If you do not have insurance, you will receive the eye care at no charge.
Eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services, and fees for other medical professionals are not included in this program.
