If you are caring for a relative or a friend, this program provides several support services and programs to help you, such as:

  • Financial assistance: You can get money to help you with out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Home modification: Get a one-time grant of up to $2,000 to make home modifications (changes) such as installing chair climbs, building ramps, or modifying bathrooms.
  • Counseling services: Get connected with a mental health professional who understands your struggles.
  • Personal assistance services: Get help caring for your relative or friend. This includes services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Respite care: Enjoy a brief break from your caregiving duties so you can take care of yourself.

You can get meals and groceries at no cost through Feeding America’s network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. The program serves people in nearly every community in all 50 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The program is free and confidential.
