Transportation Services is a comprehensive transportation program designed to assist older adults in reaching their destinations conveniently and comfortably. This program offers non-emergency medical transportation services primarily via taxi, with options for private rides or shared transportation. Whether traveling in town or out of town, riders can enjoy the flexibility of pricing details such as $1/ride in town and $2/ride out of town.
To access this program, riders are required to schedule their rides at least one day in advance, ensuring timely and efficient service. Transportation Services also provides additional support, such as assistance with packages or bags, and permits riders to bring service animals along for the journey. Payment options are diverse, including insurance coverage, vouchers, donations, and various payment methods such as cash, credit card, check, or Medicaid payments.
Moreover, this program extends its services to cater to individual needs, offering door-to-door, curb-to-curb, and paratransit transportation services. With the option for on-demand scheduling and accommodating pre-scheduled rides weeks in advance, Transportation Services aims to provide older adults with a reliable and accessible means of transportation to enhance their mobility and independence.
