The Demand Response Service is a convenient public transit option specifically designed to cater to the needs of older adults. This service offers affordable transportation with a flat fee structure: a $2 flat rate per trip, with an additional charge of $0.50 for travel between different zones. Unlike some other programs, it does not accept half-fare cards as payment.
To utilize this service, older adults can schedule their bus or train rides a few days in advance, providing them with the flexibility to plan their trips accordingly. Payments for the service can be made in advance, by check, or in cash, ensuring a hassle-free experience for riders. Additionally, the Demand Response Service offers curb-to-curb transportation, guaranteeing that older adults can easily access the public transit they need to get to their desired destinations.
