Learn More About This Program

Please make sure to contact Raleigh County Commission on Aging, Inc: Transportation Services to confirm details of their transportation services.

The Transportation Services program offers a valuable resource for older adults who may face challenges with accessing reliable transportation options in their community. This program operates on a donation-based model, making it accessible to older adults regardless of their financial situation. By providing a free-of-charge service, Transportation Services aims to support older adults in maintaining their independence and staying connected to essential activities such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings. Riders utilizing the Transportation Services program are required to schedule their rides in advance, typically a few days beforehand, to ensure smooth coordination and availability. This scheduling system allows older adults to plan their trips efficiently and receive the assistance they need to travel from curb to curb safely. Whether an older adult needs to attend a medical appointment or visit a local community center, Transportation Services seeks to accommodate their needs and enhance their mobility. Through the provision of curb-to-curb transportation, the Transportation Services program prioritizes the comfort and convenience of older adults, offering a reliable means of travel within their community. By promoting independence and facilitating access to essential services, this program plays a crucial role in supporting the overall well-being and quality of life of older adults.
