The Senior Bus program offers non-emergency medical transportation services to older adults through taxi rides at an hourly rate. This public transit program requires riders to schedule their trips at least one day in advance and supports payment through insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or Medicaid. Riders generally pay $2.00 per stop, except when going to the Sturgeon Bay dining site, where the fare is $2.00 roundtrip.
Additionally, the program is a paratransit service, providing door-to-door transportation and allowing older adults to travel with service animals. It offers assistance with packages or bags, ensures on-demand scheduling, and provides shared rides through vans or cars. The program accommodates various payment methods such as checks, credit cards, cash, or pre-payments, making it convenient for older adults to access transportation services while maintaining independence and flexibility in their daily routines.
