The DAV Van program is a community transportation service that operates on donations. This program offers free curb-to-curb transportation for older adults who schedule their rides a few days in advance. The program uses vans to provide shared rides, allowing riders to travel together to their destinations. Riders using the DAV Van program can bring their service animals along for the journey. Donations are encouraged but not required for using this service. For reliable transportation, consider booking rides in advance through this program to ensure a smooth and convenient travel experience for older adults who may need assistance getting to appointments, social outings, or other destinations.


Service Area

Services available throughout Portage County with service to local VA Hospitals. The van has gone to VA medical centers in Tomah, Madison, and Milwaukee as well as outpatient clinics in Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau, Green Bay, and Appleton. These services are offered on a case-by-case basis, and only when the schedule permits.
