The Driver Escort Program is a transportation service available for older adults, offering car rides within a specified distance range at affordable rates. Depending on the number of miles traveled, the pricing for the service is structured as follows: for trips between 0 and 100 miles, the cost is $20. For distances ranging from 101 to 140 miles, the fee is $25, while trips falling within the 141 to 170-mile range are priced at $30. Longer distances, spanning from 171 to 200 miles, are charged at $40. This program operates on a reservation basis, requiring passengers to book their rides several days in advance to secure their transportation needs. Payment for the services rendered can be made either by check or in cash, providing flexibility for the riders. Moreover, the service includes the option for shared rides and also accommodates transportation via van, catering to various preferences and needs of the older adults utilizing the program. When arranging for rides through the Driver Escort Program, individuals are encouraged to plan and schedule their transportation needs with consideration for the Rides In Advance feature, ensuring a smooth and reliable commuting experience.
