The Volunteer Medical Transportation program offers older adults the opportunity to access transportation services in their community. Utilizing donated funds, this program operates by providing rides in private vehicles, allowing older adults to reach their medical appointments and other necessary destinations. To participate, individuals are encouraged to contribute whatever they can afford to help cover the costs associated with providing this valuable service.
Rides through the Volunteer Medical Transportation program must be arranged with advance notice, typically a few days ahead of the desired travel date. Payment for the transportation services can be made either by check or in cash, providing flexibility for riders. By coordinating rides through this program, older adults can ensure they have reliable transportation options available to them when needed most, promoting independence and well-being. Consider utilizing Rides In Advance when planning your trips through this beneficial transportation program.
