The Senior Center Shuttle program offers convenient and reliable non-emergency medical transportation services for older adults. Operating as a public transit and paratransit program, it provides door-to-door transportation via taxi, car, or van. Riders can schedule rides in advance, with options for on-demand scheduling available as well.
The program offers various payment methods, including insurance, Medicaid, vouchers, coupons, donations, and cash. While there is a membership fee and flat fee charged, the daily fare is affordable at $1.00 per day or $4.00 per week. Additionally, riders can schedule private rides or opt for shared rides along fixed routes.
With features like assistance with packages, acceptance of service animals, and the provision of curb-to-curb or wait-for-passenger services, the Senior Center Shuttle ensures older adults can travel comfortably and independently to appointments, errands, and social engagements within the community.
