Veterans Programs

State Veterans Education Benefits

Learn More About This Program

These programs give you money for education if you are a qualified veteran. Through the Minnesota GI bill, veterans can get up to $10,000 for:

  • Classes at a state-supported college or university
  • On-the-job training
  • Apprenticeships
  • Licenses and certifications

Money for school and training is also available to a veteran's widow or children.

You may also qualify for the Veteran Education Assistance Program, which gives veterans $750 to help them finish school if they no longer have GI bill benefits.

How do I apply?

To apply for these programs, contact your local County Veterans Service Officer.
