Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.

The Transportation Program is a convenient and affordable service available to older adults in the Waynesboro and Staunton area. The program offers transportation within city limits for a suggested donation of $1 each way, making it an accessible option for those looking to get around town. For appointments located less than 25 miles away, a round trip is available for a suggested donation of $5, while appointments further away, such as Charlottesville, Harrisonville, or Richmond, can be reached for a suggested donation of $10 round trip. Riders are required to schedule their trips in advance, with a recommendation of booking at least a few days before their intended transportation date. The service is provided free of charge, with donations encouraged to support the program and its operations. Transportation is offered through a van, ensuring a comfortable and reliable way for older adults to reach their destinations. This program calculates charges based on the distance traveled, allowing riders to plan and budget accordingly.
