Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Volunteer Transportation Program offers complimentary rides to older adults who need assistance getting around. Dedicated volunteer drivers are available to provide curb-to-curb transportation within the community at no cost. Riders have the flexibility to schedule their trips in advance, ensuring they can get to appointments, run errands, or attend social engagements with ease.
One of the unique features of this program is that drivers are willing to wait for passengers if they need to briefly step away for an errand or appointment, providing a personalized and accommodating experience. By accepting donations, the program is able to continue offering this valuable service to older adults who may have limited transportation options. Whether it's a medical appointment, a shopping trip, or a visit with friends, the Volunteer Transportation Program is committed to helping older adults stay connected and mobile in their community.
