Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you have a disability.
The HRT Paratransit program offers transportation services for older adults who require non-emergency medical transportation in the form of taxi rides. This public transit program allows riders to schedule their trips in advance, with payment options including insurance, vouchers, donations, and Medicaid. Riders can expect a flat fee of $3.50 for one-way trips, with personal care attendants traveling for free upon prior approval.
The program provides private rides through cars or vans, and also offers shared ride options. Additionally, HRT Paratransit ensures convenience by permitting on-demand scheduling and providing door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation services. Service animals are welcome on board, and drivers are available to wait for passengers during errands or appointments. Whether riders need to travel a short distance or along fixed routes, this program offers flexibility, accessibility, and a range of payment methods including cash, checks, credit cards, and pre-payment options.
