This program helps you get equipment to communicate over the phone if you are deaf, hard of hearing, have trouble speaking or are deaf-blind. The program loans you equipment and allows you to keep it if it works for you. You can get equipment such as:

  • A teletypewriter
  • A loud ringer
  • A phone with a screen to read your conversation
  • Flashing lights for incoming calls

A teletypewriter is a machine you connect to your phone that lets you type a message to an operator. The operator then reads it to the person you are calling.

How do I apply?
