Telecommunications Equipment Program

1 min read

This program can help you get the equipment to communicate over the phone if you are deaf, hard of hearing, have trouble speaking, or are deaf-blind. If you qualify, you could get special equipment such as:

  • Flashing light or vibrating alert systems
  • Phones that let you increase call volume
  • Phones with screens that let you read your conversation
  • Teletypewriters

A teletypewriter is a machine you connect to your telephone. The machine lets you type a message to an operator who will read it to the person you are calling.
