The Senior Transportation program provides convenient non-emergency medical transportation services for older adults. Riders can access transportation via taxis and public transit, including car, bus, or train. To use the program, riders need to schedule their rides in advance, usually a day or more. Payments can be made through various methods, such as insurance, vouchers, donations, or membership fees. The program also offers options like accepting Medicaid payments, allowing pre-payment, and accommodating credit card or cash payments.
Paratransit services are available, providing assistance with packages and offering door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation. Riders can benefit from on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and fixed route services. Notably, the program caters to individual needs, such as providing a driver who can wait for passengers during errands or appointments. Service animals are permitted, and flexible scheduling options, from a few days to a week in advance, ensure efficient transportation for older adults utilizing the program.
