Provides rides for any purpose, as long as you meet one of the following criteria: you have a disability, or , and are a member or sign-up to become a member.
The Driver/Guide Transportation program offers older adults the convenience of traveling via car by using vouchers or coupons. Riders participate by purchasing coupons at a rate of $.15 per mile they expect to travel, with a maximum allowance of 300 miles per month for $45. This program requires riders to schedule their trips in advance, allowing for proper planning. Riders can use these pre-purchased coupons to pay the drivers, who are also available to assist with packages or bags during the journey.
One unique feature of this program is the option for riders to have a driver wait for them while they run errands or attend appointments. The program is accommodating towards riders with service animals, ensuring they can travel with their furry companions. By offering transportation assistance and a reliable driver service, the Driver/Guide Transportation program aims to support older adults in maintaining their independence and mobility for their daily activities.
