The Rural Transportation Services program offers convenient and reliable non-emergency medical transportation for older adults residing in rural areas. Utilizing taxis as their mode of transportation, this public transit program requires riders to schedule their rides at least one day in advance, ensuring timely service. To cater to various payment preferences, the program accepts insurance, vouchers, donations, and even Medicaid payments. Membership and flat fees are charged, with affordable fares set at $3.00 for In-County one-way trips and $5.00 for Adjacent County one-way trips. Same-day trips can be arranged at a rate of $5.00 per one-way trip. An inclusive paratransit program, Rural Transportation Services also extends assistance to riders with packages or bags, enhancing the overall commuting experience. With a user-friendly approach, the program allows for on-demand scheduling, shared rides, and door-to-door transportation services. Additionally, riders can rest assured that service animals are welcome on board, providing a seamless and accommodating travel experience.

Service area includes rural areas throughout McLennan county including Valley Mills, China Spring, West, Lacy Lakeview, Axtell, Mart, Robinson, Hewitt, McGregor, and Waco.
