In-Home and Companion Services is a comprehensive transportation program specifically designed to cater to the needs of older adults. This program offers non-emergency medical transportation services through taxis, providing a convenient and reliable way for older adults to get to their medical appointments, errands, and social engagements. With a focus on accessibility, this program allows riders to schedule rides at least one day in advance, ensuring they can plan their trips with ease. One notable feature of this program is its flexibility in payment options, accepting various forms of payment such as insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, Medicaid payments, pre-payment, credit cards, checks, and cash. The pricing structure is transparent, with a rate of $45.00 per hour for the first 2 hours and $20.00 for each additional hour, plus mileage. Riders can also request quotes for a better understanding of the costs involved. Moreover, In-Home and Companion Services provides door-to-door transportation, allowing older adults to travel comfortably from their homes to their destinations and back. The program offers additional assistance, such as helping riders with packages or bags, and permits service animals to accompany passengers. Whether it's a one-time ride or a scheduled service on a fixed route, this program aims to make transportation seamless and stress-free for older adults in the community.
