The Transportation Benefit Program offers flexible and convenient non-emergency medical transportation for older adults. This program utilizes taxis for private rides and also provides transportation via public transit such as buses or trains. Older adults can schedule rides at their convenience, whether it's on-demand or by booking in advance, to ensure they reach their appointments or run errands smoothly.
Additionally, this program offers various payment options, including insurance, vouchers, donations, credit card, check, or cash, making it easily accessible to older adults with different financial situations. There is also the option for Medicaid payments for eligible individuals. The program allows for door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring older adults reach their destinations safely and comfortably. Riders can also bring service animals along for the journey, and assistance with packages or bags is provided as needed.
