Public Transportation is a convenient program designed to provide transportation options for older adults. This program offers a flexible way to travel around the city, allowing older adults to maintain their independence and attend appointments, run errands, or socialize with friends and family. Riders are encouraged to schedule their rides in advance by contacting the transportation service 24 to 48 hours before their planned travel time. By booking early, older adults can ensure they have a reliable means of transportation to reach their destinations on time. With Public Transportation, older adults can access a network of routes and services that cater to their specific needs. Whether it's a trip to the grocery store, a medical appointment, or a social outing, this program makes it easier for older adults to get around with peace of mind. The program prioritizes the comfort and safety of older adult riders, providing a valuable resource for those seeking reliable transportation options. By offering a convenient way to travel, Public Transportation aims to enhance the overall quality of life for older adults in the community.

Service Area

The organization has centers located in Marfa, Alpine, Presidio and Van Horn. Center Directors from Marfa provide outreach services to Jeff Davis County, (Ft. Davis and Valentine) the Alpine Center Director provides outreach services to Alpine, Terlingua, Lajitas and Marathon, the Van Horn Center Director covers Hudspeth County (Sierra Blanca, Dell City, Ft. Hancock) with outreach services and the Presidio Center Director provides outreach services to Redford, Candelaria and Shafter.
