Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old. No membership is required.
The Medical Transportation program offers older adults convenient access to essential medical appointments by providing transportation services through donated vehicles. This program operates on a donation basis with rides offered at no cost, although donations are encouraged to support its continuation. Riders are required to arrange their transportation in advance, typically scheduling their rides a few days beforehand.
Participants in the program can benefit from shared rides, fostering a sense of community and reducing transportation costs. When booking a ride through the program, individuals are encouraged to plan ahead using the Rides In Advance service to ensure timely and efficient transportation services. Furthermore, the program ensures a smooth experience by providing curb-to-curb transportation, addressing the mobility needs of older adults as they travel to and from medical appointments.
