The Lubbock Adult Activity Center offers a wonderful transportation service for older adults in the community who require assistance getting to and from their desired destinations. This program operates on a donation-based system, with a suggested donation of $2.00 per round-trip, making it an affordable option for those on a budget. To utilize this program, older adults are required to schedule their rides at least a few days in advance, ensuring that transportation can be arranged in a timely manner. The rides provided are shared, offering a social aspect to the journey, and are conducted via comfortable vans that can accommodate the needs of older adults. One of the key features of the Lubbock Adult Activity Center's transportation program is its curb-to-curb service, prioritizing the safety and convenience of older adults throughout their journey. When planning transportation through this program, individuals are encouraged to make use of the Rides In Advance service to streamline the process and ensure a smooth and efficient experience from start to finish.
