Provides rides for any purpose, to all people, and no membership is required.
The Public Transportation program offers affordable and accessible transportation options for a diverse range of individuals. Older adults, retired and honorably discharged veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) can benefit from this program by purchasing a $5.00 ID that grants them free bus service. For those who do not qualify for the discounted fare, general fares start as low as $1.00 per one-way ride.
One of the key features of this program is its flexibility in payment options. Riders can pay using check, credit card, or cash, and even have the option for pre-payment for added convenience. The program also provides shared rides, following fixed routes on a fixed schedule. This ensures that older adults and other participants can rely on consistent transportation services to meet their daily needs.
Additionally, Public Transportation ensures a comfortable and inclusive experience for its riders. Service animals are welcome on board, and curb-to-curb transportation is available to assist those who may need extra support getting to their destination. Overall, this program is designed to support the mobility and independence of older adults and other eligible individuals by offering reliable and affordable transportation services.
