This program offers the convenience of booking rides on demand through taxi services, ensuring a reliable means of getting to medical appointments, errands, or social outings. Riders have the flexibility to schedule their trips at least one day in advance, allowing for efficient planning of transportation needs. With the Demand Responsive System, older adults have the option to pay for rides using insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, or credit cards, making it accessible to a wide range of individuals. There is also an hourly rate, a flat fee of $10 per round trip, and the acceptance of Medicaid payments for added convenience. Additionally, this program offers door-to-door transportation services, ensuring that riders are safely and comfortably escorted from their starting point to their destination. Whether traveling alone or with packages, older adults can rely on the Demand Responsive System for private, shared, or paratransit rides, provided via car, van, bus, or train.
