What is Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Reduced Fares for Seniors?

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) offers reduced fares for riders who are 65 or older or have a disability. To get the discount, you need a DART Photo ID for Seniors or People with Disabilities. This ID lets you pay less for each ride. If you're 65 or older, you can also buy a discounted Senior Citizen Annual Pass that works for all regional transit. You don’t have to live in Dallas to qualify.

How do I get DART Reduced Fares for Seniors?

To get DART reduced fares for seniors, you need a DART Reduced Fare Photo ID. There are two ways to get it:

1. In Person

Go to the DARTmart at DART Headquarters (1401 Pacific Ave, near Akard Station). It’s open Monday to Friday, and IDs are made from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring proof of your age, like a driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, or a Texas photo ID. A staff member will take your photo and make your DART Senior ID card.

2. Online

You can also apply online by filling out your information, uploading a photo of yourself, and uploading one of these as proof of age:

  • Valid DART-issued photo ID
  • Driver’s license
