This program provides you with transportation services if you are unable to drive or need the transportation assistance to continue living independently. Services may be free, or you may have to pay a fee. The amount you pay may vary depending on your income (called a sliding-scale fee).

The transportation services available vary depending on where you live, but they may include:

  • Dial-a-ride
  • Bus tokens and/or transit passes for fixed-route scheduled services
  • Vouchers to get a discount on taxi services
  • Door-to-door services
  • Mileage reimbursement to a volunteer who gives you a ride

How do I apply?

To find out which services are available in your area, please contact your local Area Agency on Aging.
