Aging In Place

Rio Metro Regional Transit District

Learn More About This Program

The Rio Metro Regional Transit provides discounted fares and accessible transportation for older adults and people who have disabilities. Adults who are 62 years of age or older and people who have disabilities can get reduced fares on the bus and transit systems.

Fares for both services are nearly half of the standard fare. Both Metro buses and trains meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with their wheelchair lifts, ramps, and accessibility equipment.

If you cannot use the fixed bus and train routes, the Dial-a-Ride paratransit service is available. The Dial-a-Ride paratransit service provides door-to-door transportation for people who are 62 years of age or older and people who have disabilities. The Dial-a-Ride paratransit system is provided in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Valencia County, and Pueblo of Isleta.
