If you live in Mecklenburg County, you may be able to get help with transportation from this program. In some cases, there is a fare for each trip. The program provides a variety of transportation services, including those:

  • To and from medical appointments for people with Medicaid
  • To and from medical appointments, paid employment, or grocery shopping for older adults
  • To and from certain rural areas for persons of any age
  • To and from Veterans Affairs hospitals and medical clinics for qualified veterans

How do I apply?

To apply for transportation funded by Medicaid, contact your Medicaid office. To apply for transportation for veterans, call the Veterans Service Office at 1-704-336-2102. For all other transportation services, call the Transportation Services Line at 1-704-336-4547.
