This program provides reduced fares for people who have disabilities and free rides for older adults on the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (also called JTA) system. You need to get a Reduced Fare Card or Senior STAR Card in advance.


How do I apply?

To get the Reduced Fare Card or Senior STAR Card, you must have your picture taken and present documentation of a disability, if applicable. Appropriate documentation includes:

  • A Social Security award letter or VA letter stating a disability of at least 50%
  • A letter from a physician
  • A Medicare card

You can have your picture taken at the Rosa Parks Transit Hub, JTA Myrtle Campus, or Armsdale Park and Ride.
