This program offers discounts for seniors and people who have disabilities who ride the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Authority light rail and buses. If you are 60 years of age or older, have a disability, or are a Medicare recipient, you can get discounted fares and passes. You do not need to be a San Diego resident to use the discount.


How do I apply?

To get a discounted fare, you can fill out either a Short or Long Form application and submit it as directed on the form. Then, in order to receive your Reduced Fare Photo ID, you will need to go to the Transit Store on a weekday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm to have your photograph taken.
