MTA San Diego Reduced Fares

This program offers discounts for seniors and people with disabilities riding the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Authority light rail and buses. If you are 60 years of age or older, you have a disability, or you are a Medicare recipient you can get discounted fares and passes. You don’t need to be a San Diego resident to use the discount.


How do I apply?

To get a discounted fare you can fill out either a Short or Long Form and submit it as directed on the form. Then, in order to receive your Reduced Fare Photo ID you will then need to go to The Transit Store on weekdays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm to have your photograph taken.
