The Rural Public Transportation program offers a variety of transportation options for older adults, including non-emergency medical transportation services via taxi or car. This public transit program allows riders to schedule rides in advance, with pricing ranging from $6-$20 roundtrip based on the destination. Riders have the flexibility to pay through insurance, vouchers, donations, or membership fees, and Medicaid payments are also accepted. Moreover, the program provides paratransit services, with drivers available to assist riders with packages or bags. Riders can choose between private or shared rides, door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation, tailored to their individual needs. The program also offers on-demand scheduling, allowing for convenient and efficient travel. Service animals are welcome onboard, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive experience for all riders.
