Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social or recreational purposes. It's open to the public and no membership is required.

The Public Transportation program is designed to provide convenient and reliable transportation services for older adults. This non-emergency medical transportation program offers rides through taxis, public transit, and paratransit services, ensuring that older adults can easily access medical appointments, run errands, and attend social engagements. Riders have the flexibility to schedule rides in advance, with options for on-demand scheduling as well. Payment options include insurance, vouchers, donations, and membership fees, making the program accessible to a wide range of individuals. Additionally, riders can pay by cash, credit card, or check, with some services provided free of charge. The program also accommodates Medicaid payments and pre-payment for added convenience. With door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation services available, older adults can travel safely and comfortably to their desired destinations. Drivers are attentive to riders' needs, providing assistance with packages, bags, and even allowing service animals on board. Whether it's a private ride via car or van, or a shared ride on a fixed route, the Public Transportation program aims to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults in the community.
