The Fixed Route program offers convenient and affordable public transportation services for older adults in various counties, with the exception of Florence. For those traveling within Florence county, the general fare is $1.50, while older adults and individuals with disabilities can enjoy a discounted fare of $0.75. Participants in this program have the flexibility to travel via bus or train along established routes at no cost in most counties. The program also allows for pre-payment, making it easier for older adults to plan their trips and offers the convenience of payment options including credit card and cash. Transportation services provided by the Fixed Route program adhere to a set schedule, ensuring reliable and consistent pick-up and drop-off times. Additionally, older adults can benefit from curb-to-curb transportation, enhancing accessibility for those with mobility concerns.
