The Veterans Transportation Service is a free transportation program available for older adults who have served in the military. Through this program, older adults can arrange for rides via bus, train, or van to help them travel to medical appointments, run errands, or attend social events. Riders are required to schedule their rides a few days in advance to ensure availability. The program offers shared rides, allowing multiple individuals to travel together. Additionally, the service provides curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring that older adults are assisted from their homes to their desired destinations. When utilizing the Veterans Transportation Service, older adults can rely on a convenient and cost-free way to get around and stay connected to their community.
