This program utilizes taxis to provide public transit for older adults and allows for on-demand scheduling. Riders must schedule their rides in advance, with options ranging from one day to a week prior to the desired trip. Payments are accepted through various means, including insurance, vouchers, donations, and credit cards. The program is inclusive and allows service animals to accompany riders during their travels.
Additionally, the Free Rides for Seniors program features a paratransit service that offers assistance with packages or bags and provides private rides via cars and vans. Fixed route transportation via bus or train is available, with pricing structured as a flat fee or by the mile.
