Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Transportation Program offers a range of convenient transportation options for older adults who require non-emergency medical travel or simply need to get around the community. Available services include private rides in taxis or cars, as well as access to public transit like buses or trains. To accommodate various needs, riders can schedule their trips in advance, including on-demand scheduling for more immediate transportation needs.
In terms of payments, the program allows for flexibility by accepting insurance, Medicaid, vouchers, donations, pre-payments, credit cards, checks, and cash. For those who prefer, there is also the option of a membership fee or a flat fee for services. The program strives to make transportation accessible and affordable by offering a suggested donation-based pricing structure or in some cases providing services free of charge. Additionally, for individuals requiring extra assistance, the program can cater to riders with service animals, offer help with packages or bags, and provide door-to-door or curb-to-curb transportation services.
