Transportation Service is a versatile transportation program designed to cater to the specific needs of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring non-emergency medical transportation. The program offers a range of options, including private rides via taxi or car, public transit via bus or train, and paratransit services. Riders can schedule their trips in advance, with the flexibility of on-demand scheduling available.
One of the key features of this program is its affordability and payment options. Older adults aged 60 and above can enjoy the convenience of transportation for just $1 per one-way trip or $1.75 for out-of-county trips. Medicaid rides are free of charge, ensuring accessibility for those in need. Additionally, riders can choose to pay using insurance, vouchers, coupons, donations, checks, credit cards, or cash, making it easy to utilize the service.
Transportation Service prioritizes the comfort and convenience of its riders by providing door-to-door and curb-to-curb transportation, as well as assistance with packages or bags. The program also offers shared rides and fixed-route services, catering to varying preferences and needs. With a focus on inclusivity, the program welcomes service animals on board, ensuring that all riders can access safe and reliable transportation.
